Empowering Women and Girls in Crisis and Humanitarian Settings
Partnering for Protection, Dignity, and Leadership
At Humanitarian Hope Giver (HHG), we believe that every woman and girl has the right to safety, dignity, and leadership — even in times of crisis.
Based in the West Nile region of Northwestern Uganda, our organisation works at the frontlines of displacement, conflict, and poverty — bringing hope, healing, and empowerment to communities most affected by humanitarian emergencies.
We are proud to align our mission with the Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) and UN Women’s Call for Proposals, which aims to support civil society organisations implementing projects focused on humanitarian and crisis response and the protection of women and girls.
Our Commitment and Expertise
Humanitarian Hope Giver has built a strong reputation for community-based, women-led humanitarian action.
Our programmes focus on:
-
Protection of women and girls from gender-based violence (GBV) and exploitation in refugee and host communities.
-
Emergency response initiatives providing safe shelters, dignity kits, and psychosocial support to survivors.
-
Women’s leadership training — empowering women to take active roles in peacebuilding, mediation, and recovery processes.
-
Community resilience building through livelihood skills, education support, and youth engagement for sustainable recovery.
